TVA buys Wind Power

In an effort to expand there renewable energy portfolio, TVA has bought enough wind energy to sustain 140,000 homes. The power should be available by 2012. At this point, TVA gets a majority of it's power from coal and nuclear plants. The more demand for wind and solar we can place on TVA, we more they will be required to buy renewable energy.

Remember, there is no such thing as clean coal and no "safe" nuclear option. Substituting for these two sources will be a difficult uphill battle that mu… Continue
