Many of the Solar Projects posted on this website have been made possible because of several grant and incentive programs available.
Tennessee Valley Authority Generation PartnersSM
Homes and businesses that participate in Green Power Switch® (GPS), a green power pricing program, are doing something good for the environment. TVA and participating power companies offer consumers an additional opportunity to help protect the environment—a program called Generation Partners. Generation Partners provides technical support and incentives for the installation of renewable generation systems. The program makes more green power available for GPS subscribers, and it creates a market for green power generation by homeowners and businesses. http://www.tva.gov/greenpowerswitch/partners/index.htm
Federal 1603 Treasury Grant for Energy Properties
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17th, 2009. It is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, create or save millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges so our country can thrive in the 21st century. The Act is an extraordinary response to a crisis unlike any since the Great Depression, and includes measures to modernize our nation's infrastructure, enhance energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief, and protect those in greatest need. http://www.treasury.gov/initiatives/recovery/Pages/recovery-act.aspx

Tennessee Solar Institute solar installation grant
This project was made possible in part by a solar installation grant from The Tennessee Solar Institute. The Tennessee Solar Institute is part of the Volunteer State Solar Initiative, a comprehensive solar energy and economic development program that was established using $62.5 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funding received by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development through the Department of Energy. About Tennessee Solar Institute The Tennessee Solar Institute (TSI) is a center of excellence between the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory that brings together scientists, engineers and technical experts with business leaders and policymakers to help speed the deployment of solar technology. Its mission is to advance the understanding of solar innovation and to inspire new ideas that speed the development and implementation of solar-based technology in Tennessee.
